Rosh HaShanha Yom HaDin Yom Teruah

The day everything is determined.

The first day of the year, the day Man was created. On this day, the king of the world makes balances towards the upcoming year and determines the amount of abundance that will come upon every being in the world.

"he Holy One, Blessed be He, said: Recite before Me on Rosh Hashanah Kingship, Remembrances, and Shofarot"
Kingship – so that you will crown Me as King over you,
Remembrances – so that your remembrance will rise before Me for good,
And with what? With the Shofar

Malchuyot

"Reign over the entire world with Your glory"

On the first day of the year, we are provided with the privilege of a unique job, Crowning God upon us and upon all creation.
All the prayers on this day surround around the concept of crowning God; we ask to be a part of God's Kingdom in the world and to continue His crowning upon us throughout the entire year to come.

"On this day,
He makes stand in judgment
all the creatures of the worlds"

On the day of crowning, God sits on His throne and determines, according to our actions throughout the previous year, the continuous powers and tools we will get for the upcoming year.

The Role

On Rosh Hashanah, we get both physical and spiritual tools such as abundance, livelihood, health, Happiness, and so forth, for a superior role in God's Kingdom and to fulfill the mitzvot and to add and strengthen God's crowning in the world.

Rosh Hashanah is an opportunity for us to pray and ask for a better life -
"Remember us for life King, Who desires life; and inscribe us in the Book of Life, for Your sake".

"Remember us favorably before You"

We mentioned the actions of our forefathers and the mercy God had upon them, and we pray to stimulate God's mercy upon us as part of a chain of generations, previous and future.

Symbolics

It is customary for Israelites to start the first meal of the year with unique foods that symbolize the wishes that fill our hearts these days.
We do actions and eat foods that symbolize our ambitions and requests for the upcoming year.

Shofarot

"Blow the shofar on the New Moon, on the appointed time for the day of our festival"

On Rosh Hashanah, we blow the Shofar in the way the crowning of the Kings used to be: by blowing a Shofar. Just as a king steps on his throne and they cheer before him with the trumpets, so too Rosh Hashanah is the day of crowning the Creator of the world as the king of the entire universe, and we blow before Him with the Shofar. Additionally, the sound of the Shofar awakens us to repel our sins.

Isaac's binding

We purposely blow a Shofar from a ram to commemorate the merit of Isaac's binding. In which God summoned a ram for Abraham to sacrifice instead of his son Isaac, Isaac's binding symbolizes the self-sacrificing of our holy forefathers for the sake of God, bless Him.

Tashlich

"And You will cast into the depths of the sea all their sins"

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, it is custom to go to a source of water for the prayer of tashlich, a prayer in which we desire to throw out and get rid of our sins.
At the end of that prayer, in a symbolic fashion, it is customized to shake out one's pocket, as if to say, "I'm shaking out all my previous sins," and to awaken the heart to repel from our sins.
